Trinity holds one church service on Sundays at 10 a.m. This is a casual, dynamic service with live musical performances featuring various instruments, the choir and our band. Expect to also sing a hymn now and then. Nursery care and Sunday school are available during the church service.

About Trinity

Trinity Presbyterian Church has been in Boise 100 years, but we have moved our church multiple times as we've grown, and arrived at our current location in Surprise Valley in early 2000.

Pastor Joe sometimes refers to our congregation as a "zoo" with all types of "animals." For example, we have members who are conservative when it comes to religion and liberal when it comes to politics. Or the other way around. We have members from a variety of church backgounds other than Presbyterian. Some have never attended church before.

Regardless of what brings you to Trinity we look forward to getting to know you better.

Mission Statement and Values

"At Trinity Presbyterian Church, we seek to deepen our relationship with Jesus through each other, invite others to enjoy that relationship, and in the name of Jesus, give hope by making a tangible difference in our local and global community."

Trinity believes that the Christian faith is best learned and lived in relationships with others. Small and middle sized groups are available to help develop deeper personal relationships. Those groups were formed to help with grief and divorce and job loss, as well as in depth study of the Bible.

Trinity seeks to practice what it preaches by making a tangible difference in the lives of others in the community. By working with Create Common Good, it has an ongoing ministry to refugees in Boise.

Trinity’s members regularly volunteer in area hospitals and schools, the Boise Rescue Mission, and The Idaho Food Bank; to name a few. All of these serving activities do make a tangible difference in the lives of people.

About the Presbyterian Church

The Presbyterian Tribe traces its roots to the early church in Jerusalem. Modern Presbyterians date from the Protestant Reformation of 1517 AD. Like other Christians, Presbyterians believe in the Trinity. Presbyterians also believe that the Bible is the authority for faith and life. Ordaining men and women into ministry, electing and ordaining elders and deacons to serve the local church as well as the church at large, is an important part of the Presbyterian Church. The Presbyterian Church also considers itself in full partnership with other Presbyterian churches locally, nationally, and internationally, often sharing resources to accomplish more together than could be accomplished alone.
